Cladribine (2-Chloro-2′-deoxyadenosine) is a chemical used to treat hairy cell leukemia (HCL, leukemic reticuloendotheliosis) and multiple sclerosis. Its chemical name is 2-chlorodeoxyadenosine (2CDA). Cladribine is a deoxyadenosine analog that induces apoptosis in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells.
