BIOWIT High Efficiency Transfection Kit

The High Efficiency Transfection Kit (HET) developed by Biowit can be used to efficiently
transfect many proliferative mammalian cells without causing cytotoxicity. The tested cells
include a variety of cell lines (e.g., HEK293, NIH 3T3, COS7) and primary cells (e.g.,
fibroblasts, myoblasts, mesenchymal stem cells, keratinocytes, endothelial cells,
epithelium cells). The kit can be stored for 3 months at room temperature, for 1 year at 4℃ and
over 1 year at -20℃. The optimal confluency for transfection is no more than 80%. The optimal
seeding density may vary from different types of cell lines or primary cells and depends upon cell
doubling time. Generally, cells are seeded at a density of 3～5× 106 cells/100-mm dish, 1～2×106
cells/60- mm dish or 6～8×105 cells/well for 6-well plates.
